Year 3/4 Physical Literacy
9 December 2022 (by kinoultonnotts)
Last night, some of our year 3 and 4 children attended a Physical Literacy event at South Notts Academy.
Physical Literacy allows the opportunity for pupils to refine a range of movement skills, build confidence and develop their knowledge and understanding in a variety of different areas of PE. Last night, children practised many skills including running, balancing, hurdles and triple jump. This was done in a non-competitive environment.
Our children had lots of fun and demonstrated great skills - even in the triple jump which took us (including me) a few attempts to get our heads around.
Well done to: Fenella, Jessica, Hattie, Miles, Liam, Declan and Stanley. You all did a great job and worked well to support each other.
Thank you, as always, to the parents who were able to offer lifts. In the past I have had to cancel events as we can't get the children there so your efforts really do make all the difference.
I've signed us up to some Spring Term events and I also have a couple of football friendlies lined up for the end of next half term so keep your eyes peeled for those!
