Dear parents/carers,

Last Wednesday evening, some of our year 5 and 6 children played a series of rounders games against schools in the local area. This is one of my favourite events of the year (as some of you may have seen last week) and I’m really glad we got to return again for the first time since Covid!

As usual, our children represented us incredibly well. Their skill, passion and the way they supported one another was nothing short of brilliant; I left feeling so proud of every single one of them!

The scores have been totted up and we came 4th out of 8 teams, which is a great achievement! So, well done: Bethany, Scarlett, Etty, Seth, Oscar Wa, Oliver Mi, Noah, Arthur, Henry, Toby, Ben and Oliver Ma- you’re all wonderful!

Again (and I know I always say it) thank you to the parents/carers who were able to offer lifts and stay to support our team- we wouldn’t be able to attend if it wasn’t for you! Also, thank you to Mr Kirk for going along and sharing more pearls of wisdom with us.

I can’t wait to go again next year (although, I may need to tone down my “enthusiasm” a little)!
