Dear parents/carers,

Last night our year 5 and 6 girls played a football match against Sutton Bonington. Unfortunately, the girls conceded 5-2, however their team spirit and enthusiasm shone through, particularly in the second half!  Considering we had 2 unforeseen absences from the team (Scarlett & Miranda - we hope you feel better soon), the girls dusted themselves off and threw themselves into the game! Mr Kirk was very impressed with all of them. There was even a little guest appearance from Jessica in Class 2 who was just itching to get on the pitch - it was good to get a glimpse of the future talent we have to look forward to!

A huge thank you to parents who offered lifts and stayed to watch the game - without your support we wouldn't have been able to attend. Also, another huge thank you to Mr Kirk for providing lifts and cheering our team on!

Myself and Mr Kirk are organising lunchtime football clubs - a girls' one and a boys' one - for the spring term so watch this space.

Finally, another big well done to: Sia, Poppy, Florence, Grace, Etty & Georgie (& Jessica) for a wonderful game last night!
