Key Information
Homework
Children will receive homework every Monday, alternating between maths and English, to reinforce learning from class. Completed homework should be returned by the following Monday.
Spellings
Each Friday, children will be given new spellings linked to our recent phonics and spelling lessons. A spelling sheet will be sent home to help with practice and the spelling test will take place the following Friday. Children are also able to practise their spellings on Spelling Shed.
Reading
We ask that children read at home at least five times a week. Reading diaries will be checked every Monday and children can earn reading rewards for their commitment. Colour banded and library books are changed on Mondays and your child will receive a new Monster Phonics reading book every Friday.
